The IAB Establishment Panel is a representative employer survey on company determinates for employment (company based determinants for employment ). This is a project of the Institute for Labour Market and Professional Research (IAB).

The survey has been conducted annually since 1993 in the same German companies. Due to the sample size, representative results were originally only possible at the national level (West and East Germany). Through the participation of the Federal States, the sample size could be expanded sufficiently that State specific comparisons are now possible. In the meantime, approximately 16,000 companies in all branches and all sizes are surveyed on a variety of labour political themes. The information from the companies should help the Federal Labour Agency to orient its consulting activities more closely on the realities facing companies. The analysis is also used as one decision basis for politics, trade contract negotiators and trade associations.

IWAK has been charged with the analysis of the results for Rhineland-Palatinate since 2000 and for Hessen since 2001. In addition to the comprehensive Annual Report, IWAK also issues shorter reports to current focus themes in the survey.
