To optimize the functionality of regional labour markets, systematic information is needed on the supply and demand of employable persons, but also on their qualification profiles. In most cases, such information does not exist in adequate form and/or it is not sufficiently accessible to the relevant actors. With the conceptual approaches of the regional labour market monitoring, appropriate information is generated, communicated and the prerequisites are fulfilled to allow the various actors in a region to orient their actions based on this information. Monitoring is, additionally, a continuous process, in which developments can be shown. This shows what strategies can be used for intervention or counteraction. Regional labour market monitoring can be oriented on branches or relevant target groups. In the first case, primarily the key branches, or alternatively growth branches, in single regions can be considered. With reference to the target groups, these groups can be selected for focus based on qualifications, socio-economic or socio-demographic characteristics. With regard to the target groups based on qualifications, this is generally the skilled employees that are of interest. It is older workers or the unemployed, or persons with a migration background, that are most frequently the object of the socio-economic and socio-demographic defined groups. Service Offering:
